Mrs. Bleiker's English Class
Welcome to my page; my name is Hillary Bleiker and this is my 11th year at Jayton-Girard ISD. Here at Jayton, I teach 8-12 English, Dual Credit Speech, and Theatre. I am responsible for One Act Play and the Speech/Debate programs here at JGISD.
A little about myself...
I attended West Texas A&M University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Advertising/Public Relations and my Master's Degree in Communication. Upon graduating college, my husband (Coach Ryan Bleiker) and I moved to Rule, Texas where he taught and coached. I was intrigued by the education field and worked as a substitute teacher that first year. Once I had experienced the classroom, I knew I wanted to pursue my certification in education (so back to school I went). I was able to complete my certification quickly, and I began my teaching/coaching career at Paint Creek ISD. Two years later I joined the staff at Rule ISD, and finally I was able to become a Jaybird in 2010!
We have two sons, Dayton and Easton, a Golden Retriever-Birdie, a Mini-Australian Shepherd-Bowie, and two cats, Adele and Milo. Our family (pets aside) enjoys being involved in anything athletic, and then traveling in any free time that we may have.
