Christy Coulter's Page

Welcome to my page!  I am a Jayton Alumni (CLASS OF 86) and currently on my 24th year of teaching. I have been working at Jayton ISD for 20 years. Throughout my career I have learned that there is absolutely no place like home!

 

I graduated from Tarleton State University in December 1990 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Studies. I got my teaching certifications in All-Level PE, English, Elementary Ed, Special Education and Health. I have taught in three other school districts including Meadow ISD, Dimmitt ISD and Crowell ISD, before finally coming back home to Jayton to teach.   My favorite thing about my job is working with students and seeing their hard work pay off.

 

Currently, I am teaching 6th and 7th Grade English, the assistant basketball coach, Yearbook adviser, Junior Class Sponsor and the High School UIL Coordinator.

 

I have been married to Turney Coulter for 21 years. I have three step-children, Laticia, Turney Jr., and Penni, and 5 children Jordan, Kelsea, Slade, Abby and Erielle.

 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and being outdoors.
