The possibility of wintery weather is right around the corner. We understand that the weather varies throughout west Texas and even within our county. School administration will keep a close watch on upcoming weather. Decisions regarding weather will be made in a timely manner using the best resources available. The start time for weather delays will be 10:30am. This will allow us the required four hours of instruction, and it also will allow more time for road conditions to improve.
In the event of a delay, cancellation, or time change, you will receive a text from JGISD administration from the Remind 101 account. If the weather is questionable, school and school-sponsored events will proceed as scheduled, unless notified otherwise. If we still have school or an event, and you deem it unsafe in your area of the district, please do not attempt to travel.
