Kent County Public Information Meeting Kent County Commissioners will host a public information meeting on Friday, May 8th, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Kent County Courthouse in the second floor courtroom. The topic will be the Kent County appraisal values and county taxable value trends. We will discuss the process of tax abatements and how they may impact Kent County future taxes and revenue.

Graduate Sales will be here on Tuesday (5/5) at 10:00 a.m. in the library for letter jacket and patch orders. Order forms were passed out this week, but more will be available at the meeting, if needed.

The bus transporting our Beginner Band hit a turkey this afternoon. Windshield damage resulted. Our students are now on a different bus, headed to Clyde for their band festival. All safe. No injuries. Except for the windshield of the first bus, that is.

Due to the possibility of precipitation on Thursday, our Bi-District Baseball Series has been moved to Wednesday, April 29th. Because of this change, our JH Tennis Meet in Jayton has been moved to Tuesday(tomorrow), April 28th.

Congratulations to Lainey Baldridge and Kyndrey Branum. Lainey placed 1st in Feature Writing and will advance to State. Lainey also placed 6th in News Writing. Kyndrey placed 4th in Editorial Writing. Great job girls!
