Jace Chisum, Reese Redford, Sidney Hall, Colt Gentry, and Kirby Miller are headed to the National FFA Agriscience Fair in Indianapolis.
Jace and Colt competed for nationals via Zoom earlier this year, placing top 10 in the nation! The final results will be revealed Thursday night where Kirby will accept on Jace’s behalf as she will be in Austin prepping for State Cross Country.
It’s a very busy week in Jaybird Land! Safe travels for all our staff and students this week.

🎃🧡It was PUMPKIN Friday in Pre-K & Kindergarten today. These two classes finished up their units on all things pumpkins. Pumpkin carving, pumpkin testing, passing the pumpkin, pumpkin building, playing pumpkin patch, and even pumpkin snacks! 🧡🎃
This afternoon’s JV football game against Abilene X-Dot Academy has been cancelled.
JGISD has been informed that city water has been restored. School will begin at 10:00 a.m. this morning.
Buses will run on a schedule two hours later than normal this morning.
No breakfast will be served.
Jayton-Girard ISD will have a late start of 10am today due to water issues. We may announce other changes at 8am.
